Mike Uhl is a well known name in broadcast audio equipment, having spent over 30 years in the business. "I started out in consumer electronics, but got into broadcast in 1978," says Mike. That’s when he joined Pacific Recorders and Engineering (PR&E) to sell BMX consoles.

After 20 years there, Mike moved on to Sierra Automated Systems, a leader in the audio routing business.  While there he helped the company move into the control surface arena with the introduction of the Rubicon, using a TDM router for all mixing and switching functions.

In 2006, Mike became Director of Western Sales for Telos/Omnia/Axia, working from his office in beautiful Escondido, California, located in northern San Diego County.  Telos has been the market leader in telephone hybrid technology, and the first company to use DSP to solve telephone performance issues.  Telos was also the first company to use MP3 technology with their Zephyr ISDN codecs, a staple for radio remotes.  Now the company has introduced the next step in convenience - the Zephyr IP.

Mike's always enjoyed fast machinery, and has a passion for both finely-crafted imported sports cars and rear-wheel-drive American muscle. During his off-time ("My what?"), he’s been known to frequent a golf course or two.
